This is an original traditional island gansey, beginning at the bottom garter welt, working in the round up the side seams into an underarm gusset. This gansey is topped with shoulder straps, and the sleeves are worked from the top to the cuff. This gansey can be as unique as you choose, an alphabet has been included in the pattern for personal initials added to the Left Front just above the garter welt.
